The Multitude of Nations

Gen 48:19 “and his father refused, “I know my son, I know. He also (talking about Manassah) shall become a great people, he shall great; but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants will be as a multitude of nations.” We are going to focus on this term, multitude of nations because this is going to be literally one of the most important phrases that can be found in your bible. The term multitude of nations in Hebrew is “melo ha’ goyim”. It means the “Fullness of the Gentiles”.

For starters, the word gentile means out of covenant. So if you feel that you are a gentile Christian which means that you are an out of covenant Christian. I would not boast about that. Second of all, that is incredible if you look at the story line because Jacob is laying his hand on his grandson Ephraim saying he’s going to be a fullness of the gentiles. He is going to be a few out of covenant folks, and that was the particular verse is really stating.

Ephraim who is now carrying the first born good thing of the “House of Israel” which can be going to be a multitude of countries! It is going to be crucial as we go through this kind of article.
